L.A. rockers The Dollyrots have been kicking out pop punk jams for the better part of two decades now.  The duo, comprised of wife and husband Kelly Ogden and Luis Cabezas, have churned out eight studio LPs of some of the most infectious summertime punk anthems of this century, embodying a sound that’s halfway between Ramones at their most Bubblicious and Pixies at their most Pixy-Stix-fueled.  Last month The Dollyrots released Daydream Explosion on Stevie Van Zandt’s Wicked Cool Records/The Orchard.  The album rings of the band’s tried and true blend of ’60 girl-groups, ultra-heavy riffage, and reckless teenage abandon… Although it’s not really any sort of departure or evolution, it’s just as fan-fucking-tastic as ever.  The Dollyrots just kicked off a double-headlining tour with The Pink Spiders that will have them at our very own MilkBoy this Friday, August 2nd.  And although The Dollyrots have brought explosive performances to the City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection countless times, it has been a while since we’ve seen them… If you need a little bit of a refresher, have a listen to 10 of their best tracks, and make sure to come out on Friday, for what’s sure to be one of the best shows of the summer.

  1. “Come and Get It” Barefoot and Pregnant (2014)

  1. “In Your Face” Daydream Explosion (2019)

  1. “Jackie Chan” Eat My Heart Out (2004)
