Mr. Obama, I hope that you change your mind on gay marriage. I hope that you, like millions of your fellow Americans, begin to view this issue as a civil rights issue. (Not to be confused with The Civil Rights Movement, of course.)
I hope that in your first year you give speeches and use your overwhelming popularity to change people’s minds on this issue. And I hope you do all that you can to further equality for the GLBT community.
Otherwise… We will vote for a third party presidential candidate in 2012, and you can kiss 10 million votes goodbye.
Yeah, we’re dramatic like that!
