DIY punk rock troubadour Jeff Rosenstock (formerly of Bomb the Music Industry! and The Arrogant Sons of Bitches) just surprise dropped his fifth studio full-length, HELLMODE, courtesy of Polyvinyl!  The album has already produced three singles (“LIKED U BETTER,” “DOUBT,” and “HEALMODE”), all of which you’ll swear are anthems that got you through your angstiest years.  Stereogum, who named HELLMODE their Album Of The Week, agrees: “Jeff Rosenstock makes anthems. It’s what he does.”

And NEXT Sunday, September 10th, Jeff Rosenstock will be celebrating HELLMODE with a BIG-ASS party at The Fillmore Philadelphia.  On September 6th, Rosenstock will be kicking off a tour with bedroom pop singer/songwriter Sidney Gish and local lo-fi punks Gladie (who opened Rosenstock and Laura Stevenson’s Neil Young covers tour last year, including a stop at the Church) with a show at the legendary 9:30 Club in DC.  But, for one night only, Rosenstock, Gish, and Gladie will be joined by power-pop icon Chris Farren (former frontman of Fake Problems and Rosenstock’s other half in duo Antarctigo Vespucci) and his support act, Diners (AKA Blue Broderick), who just released DOMINO (the best sunshine punk album to come out in as long as I can remember), for a likely once in a lifetime, five-act, mini-festival that cannot be missed!

During the day Izzy Cihak teaches transgression, subversion, and revolution at Temple University. At night he haunts Philthy's best venues to cover worthwhile acts for Philthy Mag. Morrissey is everything to him and, in their own heads, all of his friends see themselves as Zooey Deschanel.
