Are you an artist without a home? Like a complete unknown? This coming Saturday, July 30th, Project Twenty1 is hosting a launch event for artists of all sorts who would like the opportunity to contribute to the creation of a short film over the period of 21 days. If you’re a filmmaker, animator, screenwriter, composer, actor, or designer, this pertains to you. The event will take place at Lucky Strike (1336 Chestnut Street) from 2-6 PM and is free to attend.
What should you expect? Well, you should come looking your snazziest (i.e. most appealing, unless you want this to be gym class all over again) with your business card (and possibly resume) and matchmake yourself with those with the skills that you lack. By the end of the evening you will have a team that will set off, over the course of the next three weeks, to create an original short film that will screen theatrically, get into festivals, and possibly win DVD distribution. So if you’ve ever wanted to be a “big, bright, shining star,” this just may be your chance… and afterwards make sure to come out to The Fire to see Charlene Kaye.
