Glare performs at Union Transfer on 5/16

Glare, shoegaze band from the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas, opened for Superheaven at Union Transfer.

Glare, the shoegaze band from the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas, performed to a sold out crowd at Union Transfer while opening for Superheaven. Their debut album, Sunset Funeral, was released just last month in early April.

Glare takes the stage.

The show had a stacked lineup of performances: Minneapolis’ alternative rock band, Prize Horse, kicked off the evening, Bay Area hardcore band, Spy, brought the energy, Glare gave us dreamy in-your-feels shoegaze, and Pennsylvania’s own grunge/shoegaze project, Superheaven, ended the night with a head-banging bang.

I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with the members of Glare after the show and they were all super sweet. Their team also treated me very kindly throughout the night. It was a wonderful time taking/editing photos of their set and a great night overall, and I look forward to seeing them play again in the future!

You can view the rest of my photos of Glare’s performance below, as well as some from Spy’s and Superheaven’s performances. Thanks for reading!

I listen to a wide range of music genres, but my favorites are post-punk, shoegaze, hardcore, and pop!
