South Texas shoegaze band Glare — whose debut LP, Sunset Funeral, dropped April 4th — performed to a sold out crowd at Union Transfer as direct support for hometown(ish) heroes Superheaven last Friday, May 16th.

Glare takes the stage.
The show featured Minneapolis alternative rockers Prize Horse, who kicked off the evening, Bay Area hardcore band Spy, who brought tons of energy, and Glare providing dreamy in-your-feels shoegaze, before Pennsylvania’s own grunge/shoegaze project Superheaven, who ended the night with a head-banging bang.
I had the pleasure of hanging with Glare and their team after the show and they were all super sweet! Hopefully they’ll become long-term buddies of PHILTHY MAG!
Check out the rest of my photos of Glare’s performance below, as well as some from Spy and Superheaven.
