This Friday, December 20th, noisy industrial rockers HEALTH will grace the City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection for the second time this year when they co-headline Union Transfer.  The LA trio have spent the better part of 2019 touring behind their fourth studio album, VOL. 4: SLAVES OF FEAR, in addition to a number of non-album collaborative singles, including “Hate You” with JPEGMAFIA and “Judgement Night” with Ghostmane.  Last week HEALTH released “Delicious Ape,” a collaboration with experimental noise poppers Xiu Xiu.  The track is an exceptionally moody, 21st century take on art rock that would work equally well on the soundtrack of a film channeling the beauty of early ‘90s independent cinema or as a poignant way to close out a good goth dance party.  And although a live collaboration between HEALTH and Xiu Xiu isn’t currently on the books, HEALTH’s current run has them sharing headlining duties with fellow noise rock outfit Daughters, which will likely provide a very tinnitus-inducing evening, something we could all desperately use prior to the holidays.  So, if you’re looking for something to drown out looming holiday cheer, Union Transfer would be a great place to find yourself this Friday night.  In the meantime, listen to HEALTH and Xiu Xiu’s “Delicious Ape.”
