Kurt Vile lets his hair down at Union Transfer

I literally could not make out Vile’s face through the luscious veil of locks that he refuses to push out of the way. Vile is already a world class guitarist, that was obvious last Friday at Union Transfer, but playing through all that hair? I would call that a feat unto itself. What I could make out was the absolutely packed crowd at the show. Wall to wall, hundreds of people soaking up every honest, mediative lyric Vile could provide. I commend Vile’s talent as a performer, songwriter, and as Philly’s number one hitmaker.
