Hurray for the Riff Raff at The Foundry

Hurray for the Riff Raff performs at The Foundry on March 1, 2024.

In support of their critically acclaimed 2024 album, The Past is Still Alive, Hurray for the Riff Raff played an incredible sold out show in Philly last Friday.

They put on a spectacular performance, every song sounding nearly identical to the record. It’s a testament to the talent of the whole band, but especially Alynda Segarra’s breathtaking vocals. Every track from the album is amazing, but the live show elevates the songs to a whole new level.

It was a passionate performance, as they played songs about their upbringing, with a common theme throughout being loss suffered from substance use and the importance of harm reduction. The tour is partnered with the organization PLUS1, meaning one dollar from every ticket sold went towards distributing naloxone. During “Snake Plant (The Past is Still Alive),” the whole crowd chanted along with Alynda to “test your drugs, remember Narcan.” There’s a war on the people, what don’t you understand?

Check out some photos from their amazing show below.
