Sibling trio Band of Silver is doing classic pop rock better than anyone I’ve heard in quite some time.  Their music embodies all of the best elements of classic teen Cry-Rally-Dance anthems, combining the playful pomp of the ‘80s with the sympathetic sass of the aughts.  The band released their debut EP, Always, in December of last year and have been releasing singles ever since.  In their three latest singles (“Are We Are We Not,” “Looking for a Friend,” and “Caught in the Headlights”) we can hear ineffably infectious and perfectly popular rallying cries for trendy teens during their messiest existential moments.

During a recent phone chat, vocalist Avery Silvernagel tells me that Band of Silver already have all of their additional singles scheduled: “We have our upcoming releases all planned out through the year.  We’ll be releasing new singles up until 2022.”  In addition, Band of Silver will be taking their music to the road in the near future when they open a run of dates for Jake Miller throughout September and October.  During our chat, Avery tells me that playing live is definitely the highlight of the band for her and that she’s especially excited for these upcoming dates, as they haven’t been out for a while now: “We tend to bring a lot of energy to our shows.  And we’ve been eager to get back out on tour since 2019.  I’m planning to have a lot of fun onstage.”
