Last week Austin, Texas-based electronic outfit SINE – the brainchild of drummer and multi-instrumentalist Rona Rougeheart, whose sonic aesthetic she has dubbed “electronic boom” – released their latest single and music video, “Trauma Bondage,” their debut for Metropolis Records, which serves as a preview of a forthcoming 2025 full-length.  “Trauma Bondage” is the follow-up to SINE’s latest full-length, Luxuria, which was produced by Claus Larsen/Leæther Strip and dropped earlier this year.  The track features Rougeheart’s partner and frequent collaborator Curse Mackey, who we’ve seen in the City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection performing with industrial legends Pigface and My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult.

SINE and Curse Mackey are currently on the road with darkwave legends Clan of Xymox for the X-Odus Tour (with SINE handling opening duties and Curse Mackey providing direct support), which kicked off this Sunday at Chicago’s Cold Waves Festival and will be at our very own Underground Arts this coming Friday, October 4th.  Clan of Xymox are touring behind Exodus, their 18th LP, which dropped this June on Metropolis, but recent setlists have spanned their career, including their early days on 4AD.  Get your tickets below and check out the video for SINE’s “Trauma Bondage.”
