Just last December singer/songwriter extraordinaire Angel Olsen graced the City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection with a two-night stand at Union Transfer. However, she’s already back and this time things are going to be a little different. This Thursday, September 27th, Angel Olsen will be playing solo, as she headlines the Sanctuary of the First Unitarian Church, her most intimate area appearance since her days of playing Johnny Brenda’s. Unfortunately for many of you, the show has been sold out for quite some time now. However, if you’re one of the smart and lucky ones who snatched up your tickets early, here’s a list I wrote last December to preview her UT gigs, that might help get you extra excited about this Thursday’s show. Here is “Angel Olsen, A Brief and Insufficient History in 10 Songs,” which includes 10 of her most memorable live performances caught on tape.
