6/26 Wavves is coming to The Barbary this Saturday night. Nathan Williams is known for putting on one hell of a psychadelic lo-fi surf noise/pop show. Wavves is set to release their upcoming album, King of the Beach, on Fat Possum Records this August. Unlike 2009’s Wavvves, this album was professionally recorded to offer up a much cleaner sound than Wavves fans will be used to. In fact, the record was produced by Dennis Herring of Counting Crows and Modest Mouse production fame. Pre-order it here. Teaming up with Wavves will be Cloud Nothings, another lo-fi pop dude, and hometowners Moon Women. Stream below to check out the B-side of Cloud Nothings’ brand new Didn’t You7”. [Get tickets here.]
