7/26 New Jersey’s Ducktails will be stopping by Younglove’s for another of their great free shows. Joining Ducktails will be tourmates Big Troubles and locals Social Junk. Be sure to check out the new video for “Apple Walk,” the A-side of Ducktails’ Mirror Image 7″ via SHDWPLY RECORDS. As usual, this is an early show. Doors are at 7. Don’t be late or you’ll miss Ducktails like I did at Whartscape yesterday. And that was very sad.
7/27 Tuesday night is Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, Magic Kids, and blondies Puro Instinct at Johnny Brenda’s. I hope you all have your tickets because this one is way sold out. 7/30 Don’t miss Bambara’s post-punk wall of sound this Friday night at The Ox. They’ll be teaming up with DC’s True Womanhood and West Philly’s own The New Heaven & The New Earth. I’m interested to see how New Heaven, a duo known for blending classic music with psychedlic pop, will compliment the two other acts. This will be their first hometown gig since returning from tour last month.
