1/13 Tonight brings three bands from Rhode Island, Michigan, and New York to The Ox. Amil Byleckie Band, Prussia, and Drunken Sufis team up with local psychedelic outfits The Extraordinaires and Orbit to Leslie. Word on the street is Tbe Extraordinaires will be showing off a whole bunch of new music.

Another great option for your ears tonight is Creepoid’s record release show at Kung Fu Necktie. As I’m sure you’re well aware, their Horse Heaven LP is fucking awesome. I’m really not much of a hardcore fan, but there is something about Creepoid that goes above and beyond the typical Philadelphia rock scene. Horse Heaven is soaked in some combination of filthy garage rock and dreamy bedroom pop. It’s full of angst, drone, and hazy guitars. Stream or digitally purchse the new LP here. Or better yet, buy a physical copy tonight.

1/14 Cha Cha Razzi has a lineup I have been looking forward to for quite awhile now. Everyone knows my affinity for boy/girl duos such as Eternal Summers. The band will be teaming up with Tyvek and locals Moon Women Friday night.

1/15 Saturday night is loaded with shows at PiLam, The Ox, and Kung Fu Necktie. So many important choices to make. You’ll most likely find me at Pi Lam because I have been on a serious Ducktails binge the past week. Also playing are sore eros, Silk Flowers, and Cough Cool. I haven’t been to Pi Lam since the pigs threw me out at Human BBQ last spring, so I’m super excited to see these great bands in my neighborhood.

Also, there’s an early show at Kung Fu Necktie with Slutever, Easter Vomit, and Omar. This one starts at 7:30 so if you want, you should definitely be able to catch this show and then head up to The Ox for GrandchildrenWe Are HexFake Babies, and TRTL.

Hope to see you guys around. xo
