Jon Crary

Music Department & Features Journalist
close
info:
Jonathan is an avid music fan. His roots are the late 70’s punk and the new wave scene, but his influences are early 70’s glam- Roxy Music and David Bowie. Crary’s tastes evolved in the 80’s to include his influences’ copiers – Japan, Duran Duran and New Order. Jon has previously hosted a radio program where Echo and the Bunnymen and the Smiths were staples. Philthy Mag brought Jon into the fold due to his great taste in music and the fact that he actually has a good record collection. Crary is also a musician having played the bass guitar in a French garage rock band in France. Jon thanks Interpol’s “Turn on the Bright Lights” album for which he will forever be grateful for revitalizing music for the new generation and old.

She believes twelve years of Catholic school uniforms has given her reason to make up for lost time in her personal style. She has an enormous vintage costume jewelry collection dating back to the 1950′s. Despite this obsession, her biggest regret in life is not being able to participate in potential time travel due to the large amount of racism in the U.S. before the 1970′s.
