Built to Spill, indie guitar rock pioneers from Boise, Idaho, pour into The World Cafe Live at the Queen in Wilmington, Delaware on Friday, May 16, 2014. This promises to be one of the hottest indie rock concerts coming to Wilmington this quarter. They will be with opening band, The Warm Hair.
This is very exciting as Built To Spill is one of THE most important indie rock bands over the last 20 + years due to their near perfect expansive guitar driven catalog. From this incredible collection of tunes, you can hear masterful musicianship on each of their carefully crafted and performed songs by band members : Doug Martsch (guitars, vocals) Brett Netson (guitars) Jim Roth (guitars) Brett Nelson (bass) and Scott Plouf (drums). Their albums are favorites among fans and critics (including myself) such as the ultimate timeless classic album “Keep It Like A Secret” from 1999 which is a goose bump producing collection of songs that have huge hooks, swirling guitars, clever melodies and lyrics. Its influence has been far reaching.

It’s been since 2009 since we have heard new material from the impressive album “There is No Enemy” which includes the track “Hindsight” (highlighted above). If you have been following their epic journey of profound and intelligent guitar rock moments, you can now go see them live. This show is sure to be remembered amongst Wilmington fans for years to come. Do not miss this show!
