As many of you who follow me on Twitter have already been apart of… I have decided to go to, and am currently in, college. Going to college was originally something I planned to do after, “I took a year off and explored myself, and the world.” Well, that year turned into 6, and while I can’t say I explored too much of the world, aside from a few trips to the Jersey Shore as a teenager. I can say that I have landed, quite gleefully and with much surprise to myself, on something I’ve been experimenting endlessly with on this blog over the last year, and that I have now decided to make a focus in my life/career going forward. And, I couldn’t have done it without your help. No, seriously…

The videos I’ve been making for Philthy Blog, and there within the hours of shooting and editing and posting, and the comments and love you have all shown me, have all been so inspiring to me. I believe, truly, that this experience has helped me find an area of art/communicating that I want to envelope myself in. Put quite simply, making these videos and talking with you all visually, telling stories, has made me very happy, and I want to go to school for this, and eventually a career.

What does this mean for Philthy Blog? I have no fucking idea. With school, and working full time, I’m finding it very difficult, if not impossible, to find time enough to even get a drink with my friends, let alone shoot/edit a F1rst Friday video for 8 hours. That said, I probably will have time to do small things now and then, so if your interested, FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER and you’ll be the first to hear all about it. So, until May…

TTLY, Conrad

P.s. I’ve been asked so many time what, “TTLY”, is supposed to mean… It’s supposed to mean, “talk to you later”, or “TTYL”, but I misspelled it for so long that once someone made me realize it, I said fuck it. I like it misspelled… Just one of the reasons I will not be going to school for journalism. 🙂
